Summer Explosion

"Summer Explosion"

Well here is the newest piece I have finished. I called it summer explosion because when I reflect on what I was thinking when I was painting this and what was happening around me this is exactly what was going on. My kids are begging to play on the water slide next door and the sun shinning bright and hot and it is mid May. The beautiful flowers and the smell of fresh cut grass and freshly laid mulch perfuming the air and the music of laughter and kids in the air. What happens as I was finishing this painting is the true sound of summer, it is the music of the beloved ice cream truck and the begging voices of my children for the refreshing treat and the splatters of melting ice cream ♥ ♥. This painting has texture and a high gloss look. I took my time painting this, I really wanted to have balance of dark and cool colors. It is a representation of where I hope my art is going. I want to tell a story and have representation of what my life is about. I want each peice to be a representation of Tina so each person who hangs a piece in their room can have a part of the story :). Keep the creative spirit alive ♥. Tina B.
